Last admission is 45mins before closing time.

Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day:  Closed
Tuesday 27th – Friday 30th December: 10:00am – 5:30pm (every day, including Wednesday 28th December)
New Year’s Eve: Short day, open from 10:30am – 4:00pm
New Year’s Day: Closed 
Monday 2nd January – Tuesday 3rd January: 10:00am – 5:30pm
Wednesday 4th January: Closed. Standard times apply

Maintenance Days

There are no maintenance days scheduled.
Sometimes we need to close the museum for a day or two to give our machines some TLC. Sorry if this causes any inconvenience. We will always give you 2 weeks notice.

Tickets and Prices

Adult £6.80
Concession/ Student £5.50
Child (6-15yrs) £4.50
Child 5yrs and under Free
Family (2 adults and 2 children) £19.00

Tickets will give you entry for for the whole day. As long as you keep your receipt, you can come and go as many times as you like.

There is no need to book in advance, just turn up on the day.
All minors under 16yrs must be accompanied by an adult.

Car Parking

The closest car park to MAD is Windsor Street multi-storey car park which is a 2 minute walk to the museum.

Food & Drink

Food and Drink isn’t permitted in the museum but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants close by. Here’s a list.

Nuts & Bolts

On average it takes an hour to go around The MAD Museum but some visitors have stayed all day. Photos & videos are welcome and there are toilets on site.
